Engines and performance options

The new Silverado 1500 comes with a wide range of engines:

• A TurboMax 2.7-liter turbo-four that generates 310 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, logging a zero-to-60 time of 7.1 seconds
• A 5.3-liter V8 that's good for 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, taking you from zero to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds
• A 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque that can race up to 60 mph in a scintillating 5.5 seconds
• A Duramax® 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six that cranks out 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque that can travel from zero to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds

Interior highlights

The Chevy Silverado can be configured in a lot of different ways. The base models give you the essentials like manually adjustable front seats, manually adjust windows along with manual locks and windows. When you get to the LT trim, the cabin starts getting some nice upgrades like a better-looking dashboard, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a massive center touch screen. With the top-end High Country model the interior is approaching the luxury level with open-pore wood trim and genuine leather upholstery.

Technology and safety

The new Chevy Silverado comes with a standard 7-inch touch screen, wired smartphone connectivity and a two-speaker stereo. You can upgrade to a 13.4-inch touch screen, wireless smartphone integration, wireless device charging, satellite radio and a seven-speaker stereo. Other available upgrades include dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start and a sunroof.
